Dunlop at Goodwood
Festival of speed 11-13 July 2008
The Festival of Speed took place on 11th, 12th and 13th of July and Dunlop Drivers Club was in the thick of the action. Dunlop took over the Stableyard area at the festival and hosted a range of events celebrating some of the greatest competition cars and star drivers from the 1950's to the present day.
Here is the schedule of events that took place over the three incredible days:

- Porsche 962 v Jag XJR9 1030-1100 (11th/12th/13th)
- Title: 1988 Gp C Porsche 962 v Jag XJR9 battle and Bentley story
- Speakers: Derek Bell & Henry Pearman
- 1988 Le Mans - titanic race between the Silk Cut Jaguar XJR9 and the Shell/Dunlop Porsche 962, both on Dunlop tyres. Both were determined to win and ran at a blistering pace for all 24 hours. Porsche made an amazing comeback after issues, catching the Jag on last lap. But first to cross the line was the Jag. This is followed by the Bentley story referencing EXP8.
- Audi in BTCC 1130-1200 (11th/12th/13th)
- Title: Audi in BTCC
- Speakers: Frank Biela
- Frank Biela talks about taking a total of 8 outright race wins on his way to winning the championship.
- Bentley boys and jags 1230-1300 (11th/12th/13th)
- Title: Bentley Boys and Jaguar in the 50's story
- Speakers: Doug Nye
- The story of gentlemen racers driving Bentley sports cars to victory in the 1920s. Followed by the Jaguar C-Type that put Jaguar on the world's racing map, and that put Jaguar on the A-list of serious sports car lovers everywhere. The Jag C-Type twice won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 1950s, propelling Jaguar into the big league of sports car performance.
- Jaguar Group C programme 1330-1400 (11th/12th/13th)
- Title: Jaguar Group C Programme
- Speakers: Jaguar Group C Drivers - Brian Redman, Hurley Heywood, Eddie Cheever, Win Percy, John Watson
- Reunion of drivers.
- The Stirling Moss story 1430-1500 (11th/12th/13th)
- Title: SM's story and association with Dunlop
- Speakers: Sir Stirling Moss
- In 53 Moss was sent out as the hare to break the Ferraris which he did successfully. Jaguar achieved an epic 1-2 victory with winning car first to exceed an average of over 100mph. Also first win for Dunlop developed disc brakes.
- Works Mini Cooper 1515-1545 (11th) 1530-1600 (12th/13th)
- Title: Works Mini Cooper driver
- Speakers: John Rhodes
- Exact replica of John's 1965 race car, built using many original performance parts retained by John. John is famed for his smoking tyres driving style. Dunlop researched possibility of producing red, white and blue smoke.

- Title: JMcG's association with Dunlop
- Speakers: John McGuinness
- Race to Road story. Feeling the road through the tyres.
- Porsche 962 v Jag XJR9 1030-1100 (11th/12th/13th)
