Dunlop, Bell and Virgo Motorsport win GT2 title as Le Mans Series draws to an end

The fifth season of the Le Mans Series brought another title for Dunlop as Rob Bell secured the GT2 crown for the Virgo Motorsport Ferrari team. Elsewhere on the grid, Dunlop's partner teams struggled to continue their good run of form.

RACE ACADEMY WINNER SECURES PODIUM PLACE IN FIRST RACE

Dunlop Race Academy 2008 winner Roscoe Howell finished in 10th place during his first race at the Rockingham circuit over the weekend.

Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup champion 2008

Leyton Clarke, the young Vauxhall Corsa driver has been crowned 2008 Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup champion after comprehensively winning his class at the Rockingham Motor Speedway. His Thorney Motorsport team-mate Simon Shaw won the overall race and that meant title contender Martin Wallbank was denied the privilege of being crowned champion, his third place finish not enough to land the crown.

Brilliant Virgo takes Le Mans Series victory at Nurburgring

British driver Rob Bell stands on the verge of winning Dunlop it second Le Mans Series GT2 drivers' title as he heads to the final race at Silverstone in September with a three point lead in the championship. Bell has won three times out of four this season,including one of his, and co-driver Gianmaria Bruni, finest races at the Nurburgring in the Virgo Motorsport Ferrari 430 GT.
